The first Croatian Club in Houston was started in 1984 by people who had a special love for Croatia. Eventually, this       small group became the Lone Star Croatian Club (LSCC).
  For many years the idea of getting our own piece of property or building, to have gatherings in, has been batted             around.
  However, due to a number of reasons, mainly financial, the idea of the club obtaining a "home" never came to                 realization. The simple truth is that the club does not have the cash to outright purchase a piece of property or a             building. The only viable option would be to lease a building and that is exactly what was done. For the first time in         the Lone Star Croatian Club's 27-year existence the club has signed a 6-month lease on a building in southwest             Houston that it can proudly call its own.
